American Legion Post 295 held its second annual Pig Roast. The event was another
success, with Legionnaires from nearby Ashburn, Haymarket, and Purcellville Posts in
attendance paying a visit to Middleburg.
The event, put on by Vice Commander Kevin McCarthy, was as an opportunity for
Legionnaires to come together and socialize over delicious food and drinks. The star of
the show was the roasted pig, which was cooked to perfection and served with all the
fixings. Guests were also treated to a selection of sides and desserts, as well as a variety
of beverages. It was a chance for new friendships to be formed, and for old ones to be
rekindled. Many attendees commented on the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and
how much they enjoyed catching up with fellow Legionnaires.
