The small town of Middleburg came alive with patriotism, excitement, and
community spirit as the Middleburg American Legion Post 295 and the Middleburg Lions
Club teamed up to host a memorable 4th of July celebration at the Middleburg Charter
School. This festive event featured a delightful blend of live music, delectable hotdogs
and hamburgers, and a mesmerizing fireworks display.
The 4th of July celebration kicked off with a burst of energy as the grounds of the
Middleburg Charter School transformed into a bustling hub of festivities. Families, friends,
and neighbors eagerly gathered to commemorate America’s independence, creating an
atmosphere filled with anticipation and joy. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling hotdogs and
juicy hamburgers wafted through the air, courtesy of the dedicated efforts of the
American Legion Post 295 and the Lions Club. These esteemed organizations set up a
mouthwatering feast, providing delicious treats that left attendees craving for more. In
fact, the demand was so high that all food items were completely sold out by 8:30 pm.
Over 250 hamburgers and 300 hot dogs were sold throughout the day, raising funds to
support two local charities.
From children to adults, everyone found something to enjoy at the celebration. The lively
tunes performed by Native Wind, a talented local band, had people tapping their feet and
dancing with pure delight. The day began with the annual Children’s parade, leading to a
series of engaging activities on the ball field and the excitement of two bounce houses.
As the sun began to set, the excitement reached its peak. The 4th of July celebration was
crowned with a spectacular fireworks display that illuminated the night sky. Families and
friends huddled together, their eyes wide with wonder, as vibrant explosions of color and
light painted a mesmerizing picture overhead. The collective “oohs” and “aahs” echoed
throughout the town, reflecting the awe and appreciation for the remarkable pyrotechnic
performance. As the festivities drew to a close, the spirit of togetherness continued to
