Following her victory at the Post 295 Oratorical Contest, Helena Hosseini went on
to compete and win the District 16 Oratorical Contest hosted by the Stafford American
Legion Post 290. The District 16 Oratorical Contest offered substantial awards for the
winners: $500.00 for 1st place, $300.00 for 2nd place, and $200.00 for 3rd place. Helena’s
outstanding performance earned her the top prize and a trip to the Northern Regional
Oratorical Contest.
