American Legion Post 72 hosted the 16th District Fall Conference, beginning with
an invocation by District Chaplain Mark Grapin and including a POW/MIA service, Pledge
of Allegiance, and welcoming remarks. The conference featured reports from various
district committees on finance, membership, Americanism, athletics, and youth programs,
among others. Notable participants included Auxiliary District 16 President Paula Mullins.
Discussions addressed both unfinished and new business, and plans for upcoming
Department of Virginia conferences and district events were outlined. The conference
concluded with closing remarks from District Commander Steve Blackstone and a
benediction by Chaplain Grapin.
